FOOD GRADE RUBBER SHEETS

FOOD GRADE RUBBER SHEETS MANUFACTURER

Amerigo manufactures FOOD GRADE RUBBER SHEETS in India which are supplied to various industries as per it's applications. The FOOD GRADE RUBBER SHEETS are ideally suited for a wide range of industrial applications. Food-grade rubber sheets are specialized rubber sheets made from non-toxic materials suitable for direct or indirect contact with food. They are used in various industries due to their excellent resistance to oils, greases, and extreme temperatures.

Features of Food Grade Rubber Sheets:

● Used as gaskets and seals in food processing equipment to prevent contamination. Conveyor belt lining for food transportation. Anti-slip mats in food handling areas.

● Sealing components in beverage dispensers and bottling plants. Tubing and hoses for liquid transfer in breweries and dairies.

● Used in the production of medicine and dietary supplements. Sealing applications in pharmaceutical manufacturing equipment.

● Gaskets and seals for milk processing and pasteurization plants. Milk transfer tubing and pump diaphragms.

● Cutting board surfaces and protective work surfaces. Sealing and gasket applications in refrigerators and ovens.

● Used in food packaging machinery to prevent contamination. Liners for storage tanks containing edible substances.

Food-grade rubber sheets are commonly made from silicone, EPDM, nitrile, or neoprene, depending on the required properties like temperature resistance, flexibility, and chemical resistance.

Food-grade rubber sheets are designed for use in applications that require compliance with food safety standards, such as food processing, packaging, and pharmaceutical industries.

Key Properties of Food Grade Rubber Sheet:
1. Material Composition: Silicone Rubber (FDA-approved, best for high temperatures). Nitrile Rubber (NBR) (Resistant to oils and fats). EPDM Rubber (Resistant to heat, steam, and chemicals). Neoprene Rubber (General-purpose, moderate resistance to oils). Natural Rubber (NR) (Good elasticity and abrasion resistance).

2. Physical Properties : Hardness: 40 to 80 Shore A (depending on application). Density: 1.1 to 1.5 g/cm³. Tensile Strength: 5 MPa to 12 MPa. Elongation at Break: 200% to 700%. Compression Set: ≤25% (depends on rubber type).

4. Temperature Resistance : Silicone Rubber: -60°C to +230°C (intermittently up to 250°C). Nitrile Rubber: -30°C to +120°C . EPDM Rubber: -40°C to +150°C . Neoprene Rubber: -30°C to +110°C. Natural Rubber: -50°C to +80°C.

5. Chemical Resistance : Silicone: Excellent resistance to water, steam, and high temperatures. Nitrile: Good resistance to oils, fats, and petroleum-based substances. EPDM: Resistant to acids, alkalis, and UV exposure. Neoprene: Moderate resistance to oils and chemicals. Natural Rubber: Limited resistance to oils and solvents.

6. Thickness & Size Availability : Thickness: 1 mm to 50 mm. Width: 1 meter to 2 meters (custom sizes available). Length: Typically available in rolls (10m, 20m) or custom cut sheets.

7. Surface Finish & Color : Surface: Smooth or textured (for better grip). Colors: White, Transparent, Blue, or Red (Blue is preferred for food industries due to easy contamination detection).

8. Electrical & Thermal Conductivity : Dielectric Strength: 15-25 kV/mm (varies by type). Thermal Conductivity: ~0.2 W/mK (low heat conduction).
